# Stewart Joins NORCAL Mutual to Lead Underwriting – Custom Accounts

![andre_stewart.jpg](https://www.norcal-group.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Website/News/andre_stewart.jpg?width=160&name=andre_stewart.jpg "andre_stewart.jpg")NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company, the ninth largest medical professional liability insurance provider in the nation, announced today the appointment of Andre Stewart to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Underwriting – Custom Accounts. In this role, Stewart will be responsible for new business growth with a focus on multistate and national accounts, program business, unique risks and integrated delivery systems.

Stewart has more than 25 years of experience in the medical professional liability industry. He joins NORCAL from The Doctors Company where he served as Chief Underwriting Officer and President of TDC Specialty. Prior to that, he served as a Vice President for CNA Insurance as part of their medical professional liability practice. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northern Illinois University and received his Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Keller Graduate School.
