Josh Hyatt, PhD, senior risk management specialist at NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company, was named President-Elect of the Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management (SCAHRM) Board of Directors, effective June 1, 2015, also receiving a Presidential Service Award. This is the second consecutive year Hyatt has been honored by the SCAHRM Board of Directors for his dedication to the organization and his service in the field of healthcare risk management.
“Josh is a leader in the healthcare risk management community and a tremendous asset to our Association and Board of Directors,” said Kimberly Erwin, SCAHRM Association Manager. “We are excited to have him chair our education committee and oversee the 2016 Annual Conference.”
“I am honored to be recognized by my peers with the Presidential Service Award,” Hyatt said. “I have been fortunate to serve on the SCAHRM Board of Directors for the past several years and look forward to representing this wonderful organization as the President-elect.”
Hyatt holds a Doctorate in Health Science and a Masters in Health Law from Nova Southeastern University. He also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Florida International University, and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in History of Science, Technology and Medicine from Harvard University. In addition to his academic degrees, Hyatt is a designated Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Manager (CPHRM).
