NORCAL will begin offering coverage in Indiana beginning in March. Jacksonville to be established as new Southeast Regional office
NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company (NORCAL) completed its acquisition of FD Insurance (FD), the largest domiciled medical malpractice provider for physicians and surgeons in Florida. This acquisition expands NORCAL’s national footprint and establishes Jacksonville, Florida as the company’s new Southeast regional office.

NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company’s Community Involvement Fund awarded $15,000 to five California organizations whose missions are to promote health, wellness and safety in their communities. The recipients, nominated by NORCAL Mutual’s medical society partners, are: Breast and GYN Health Program in Humboldt-Del Norte County, CruzMed Foundation in Santa Cruz County, Inland Wellness Information Network of San Bernardino County, Samaritan Center of Tulare County, and Shalom Free Clinic in Butte-Glenn County.

Best Company, the most widely recognized rating agency for the insurance industry, has reaffirmed an “A” (Excellent) rating for NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company for its financial strength and stability, for the thirty-second consecutive year. NORCAL Mutual shares this rating with its subsidiary companies Medicus Insurance Company and PMSLIC Insurance Company.
